1 〔遊びたいと思う気持ち〕 a playful mood.

●このプレイランドには人の遊び心をくすぐる様々な仕掛けが作られている. This amusement center has many attractions that arouse the playful spirit.

・夜になると色とりどりのネオンサインが男たちの遊び心をそそる. When it gets dark the colorful neon signs arouse men's desires to have some fun.

2 〔気持ちのゆとり･洒落っ気〕

●この陶人形には作者の遊び心が生かされている. The clay doll shows the imaginativeness of the potter.

●社長は遊び心のある人で, これまでにいろいろと実用性に乏しい発明をして特許を持っている. The president of our company has a less serious [fanciful] side to him, and he has a number of impractical inventions to his credit that he holds patents on.
